Douglas was raised on his family’s horse and cattle ranch in Tennessee. He has been on horses since before he could walk. After high school, he headed to the cowboy state to attend the University of Wyoming as a member of the rodeo team. After college, Douglas went to Los Angeles. There, he worked as a horse trainer and instructor while also working in the entertainment industry. Ready for a change from the city and itching to get back to the country, he moved to Arizona to work as the horsemanship director of a ranch school, exposing high school students to horses and ranch work. Douglas now lives in Colorado and enjoys training horses, hosting clinics, and spreading horsemanship knowledge. He is interested in all things that can be done on the back of a horse. If he is not on a horse, you can find him in the outdoors, playing sports or running an obstacle race.
